✒ Editorial…
Sukher Chador is a non-profit voluntary organization that began its journey nine years ago, in 2016, on the day of Ashtami, by offering Anjali to an elderly woman at a railway platform. Since then, Sukher Chador has grown primarily through its countless Facebook friends. With honesty and dedication, humanitarian work is carried out almost daily in various parts of West Bengal. Registered in 2018 and granted 80G status in 2020, the organization has now expanded beyond West Bengal and India, reaching across the border into Bangladesh as well.
Sukher Chador’s humanitarian activities are mainly categorized into three projects:
- Shiksha Jyoti (Education Light)
- Arogya Jyoti (Health Light)
- Aastha Jyoti (Faith Light)
In addition to providing food, clothing, healthcare, and shelter assistance, our primary goal is to ensure education for neglected and underprivileged children in society. Many of our projects are continuous, benefiting economically weak individuals regardless of caste, creed, or religion. Our policy is to carefully plan every initiative, ensure its long-term benefits, execute it efficiently, and evaluate the outcomes.
The biggest asset of Sukher Chador is its selfless 200 members, along with the unwavering trust of its friends and well-wishers in the organization’s work.
Our mission is simple—“Stay well, and help others stay well.”
That’s why our tagline is:
“Bhalo Theko, Bhalo Rekho.”
🤝🙏🤝
Most of our members are active on Facebook, so it is mandatory for us to document every activity there. Facebook serves as our Notice Board. Below is a summary of our year-round activities to keep all our friends informed.
